Thanks to my teammate Phil for trusting me with his GoPro, I have been recording some of this year’s cyclocross races.
First-person race footage has quietly become a major driver of interest in the sport (I sure know that watching Tolley’s videos has made me want to try it out and also get my sprint up to 1,700 watts), but looking around there ain’t a whole lot cyclocross races out there. And what few there are don’t typically have power data or commentary.
So I’m trying this out. If these videos get one extra person to sign up for a Virginia cyclocross race, that’s a big win for your boy. Attendance at VACX races this year has been pretty rough and I fear for the future of the local scene.
ANYWAY I haven’t messed with iMovie or YouTube since putting up my skate video a few years ago, but I’m getting the hang of it.
