I’m Mike Platania.

You might’ve read me in Richmond BizSense, a business journal in Richmond, Virginia where I cover commercial real estate and hospitality.

Before that I was writing about Real Madrid for SB Nation’s Managing Madrid, and recanting my adventures on bicycles at MikePlatania.com. I’ve also written on Medium a bit in recent years.

Who’s to say! I use this newsletter as a place to write about anything that enthuses me.

Being a hard news reporter is a hell of a way to earn a living and I love it, but every so often I get consumed by things like the Pony Express and picking a skateboard up again. I like to have a place to expand on those thoughts.
